TBH, when it comes to the crisp comp, I have seen a lot worse.
But, if I was in charge, anybody who uses phrases like 'sharing is caring', 'EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!', and putting pictures of their kids, or spouses in daft poses, (happens a lot on Twitter) would be automatically disqualified.
Just do what the comp asks. There is no need for all the extra nonsense.

Then there's the ones that say, 'I never win, so please pick me, I'm having a bad day and I've entered thousands of comps it must be my turn...' just adding to the awful 'compers are desperate to win anything and don't have interest in the actual brands' perception.

There is a comp on FB for a shaver (notebook page). Lots of incidents of 'dropped shavers' Coincidence?
And various wrist injuries,, but a shaver like this would make shaving more comfortable.
    Enjoy reading :D

I'm getting tired of reading people posting ", Sharing is caring" on Facebook competitions.
No it isn't. Asking someone if they are ok is caring. Taking care of your child when they've fallen over or is upset because they've lost their favourite teddy is caring

I think I know which one you mean. It seems like overkill, doesn't it?

I love this thread, what !!! lickers they all are, it really does crack me up, people are just about begging to win. I had a nasty experience when I won a fb comp, other people on fb disputed my win something to do with my sharing status or something, I won fair and square, people were so nasty the promoter said they wouldn't be doing any more comps on fb, so they ended up spoiling it for everyone. Some people !!!

Yea, I had that too on a comp for a £50 voucher.
FB sometimes doesn't let me tag, so I bookmark and come back later. (Not that pages are allowed to insist you like, share or tag, but that's another argument.) The page owner had given my original comment a number and it was that one that was drawn as the winner.
Cue lots of sanctimonious cries "OOh, not tagged, draw again, etc" What thy actually mean is "Draw again, so I get another chance!" Now I wasn't on FB that day as loads going on in RL, so by the time I saw the post, the page owner had bowed to pressure and drawn a new winner.
I did message to say that surely her giving me a number meant she accepted my entry and actually, she shouldn't be making it a condition of entry, but pointing out where I had come back and tagged. She got a bit shirty and chuntered about not running any more comps.
Thing that grated with me was all those who must spend their time stalking winner's pages. Rather sad IMHO
Worse things will have happened in the world today...

I've had it too. I had a big win on Twitter a couple of years ago, and straightaway, someone came on to call me a cheat. They were told to go and boil their head (politely, I might add ;) )
The best one I ever saw was on one of those Fb winners pages, where someone came on during the advents, and had the brass neck to complain that 'non-compers' were winning all the good prizes, and those who regularly comped were missing out. And it wasn't fair, etc, etc
This came from someone who did very well on FB. From that day on, I realised that some folk think that they, and a few others think they have should win every single comp. I still can't get over the cheek tbh. Astounding.

On Twitter AutoTrader are running a 'win a car every time England score' comp. Instructions are to tweet #AutoTraderGoals.

But you should see the sob stories, pictures, blatant begging.
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

Following on from the nasty comments earlier in the thread.
Some rather interesting comments on FB regarding our birdy friend from Topcashback.
Seems like sour grapes to me. I won nowt from that stupid bird btw (as usual).
It's going to get to a point where some companies are going to stop doing them.
