First meeting with solicitor, what to bring?

Just a quick question. I've been to a mortgage advisor and I have a mortgage in principle. I am due to go to the solicitor for the first time tomorrow to put an offer in for a property but I was wondering if I need to bring anything with me? I ask because I have stupidly left my documents including my mortgage in principle, payslips etc at work and I would have to make a special trip to get it. Will I be able to put in a offer without these things?
Thanks
Thanks

As I understand it when we made an offer on a house we needed proof that we had an agreement in principle on the said amount...so yes I'd say go and get your stuff from workLose 1st 7lb

Ah well that's a bit annoying, silly me. Thanks for your help!0

Why are you going to the solicitors to make an offer? Surely you do this over the telephone to the estate agent?0

Bring some ID, as they may be reluctant to open a file until they've ticked off all the anti-money-laundering requirements - they'll need it at some point. Though really if anything was vital they would probably have told you.0

Driving license/Passport however some solicitors will accept certified copies from your mortgage broker. If not you can post them.
Do not instruct them to do any searches etc until you have your Mortgage offer and ensure they can act for the lender you are applying to.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
