Natwest rates for existing client remortgage

Hi,
I'm currently with Natwest and going to take on a new product in the coming weeks (once the BofE decision has trickled down).
The rate I was being offered is 1.74% 60%LTV. but when I did a search this morning on L&C they are now offering a rate a 1.44% LTV. This was confirmed when I looked at the intermediaries website ( http://intermediary.natwest.com/home-options.asp?page=HOME/LATEST-NEWS/2016/03-AUGUST-PRODUCT-CHANGES ).
When I called Natwest the adviser said these are for new customers only unless they show on the main website. My question is is this correct? or am I going to need to change to get a rate near the 1.4-1.5 mark?
Cheers,

You are looking for a customer retention product, not a remortgage product.
