First time buyer - confused

Hello
I am looking to buy my first home and I am not sure how to go about it. I have a deposit saved up which is around 15% of the homes I have looked at in my area.
I have seen a house I would like to go and view but before doing this will I need to see a broker and get a mortgage in place? Or will the estate agents help with this?
Very confused and thanks in advance for any help

You can got to the estate agents and they can recommend and broker. That is generally not the suggested route however as the estate agent works for the buyer. There is therefore conflict of interest.
Consult a broker first and get yourself a ' mortgage offer in principle ' this is a basic show of intention to lend from a suitable mortgage provider.
The best way to find a mortgage broker is through recommendation from friends or family.
