Volunteering

If it is helping then great. But stop thinking about going back to education and do it. Volunteering should be an add on, not an instead of, at your age. I understand it may be hard, but this is the time to do it. It gets harder and harder as you get older, with less and less support to do it. And believe me, baking cakes and putting on pots of coffee isn't a lifetime career that you want to have. It hard to think about the next 40 years for any 17 year old, and you probably find it harder than most - but take it from someone who is quite a bit older, it is too late to think about it when you are 50! Grab your opportunities now, while they are there. The cafe i work in is run by community access and volunteers bascially run it. I was in education but due to depression and home life I unfortunatly couldnt carry on. We sell coffee, cakes etc to people of all ages we bake all our produce it helps with customer service and gaining confidence ready for work.0 -
I echo the previous advice, go back to education, what caused the depression, just the home life ? Is that issue now resolved ?0
