Bird proofing a solar array

Has anyone here had to do it? We have seagulls currently trying to get under the solar panels but failing, mainly because the seagulls are too large!

On googling this it would seem pigeons and other small birds love solar panels for nesting under. Some websites say the birds like to nibble the wiring. Do they?

    I've had one nest removed and now have 2 more - poxy flying rats!!

    The current Mrs theboylard won't let me shoot them, so currently I'm annoying them with a toy bb gun but they now just shrug it off!!!

    Could you get some sort of garden mesh, like you may put around fruit bushes.
