experian - how to remove details??? :(

I know this might be a bit off-topic, but I wasn't sure where else to post.

Recently I started to get a lot of insurance loans and credit-card related junk mail, despite me being a student and all that. Having called a few companies and removed my details i wondered where they'd get my details from in the first place. Turned out from EXPERIAN.
After looking on the website I couldn't find anywhere that talked about removing details, nor could I find a phone line which wasn't related to credit reports or get through to a person. Was anyone in the same situation before? What do I do?????

Have you tried registering with the Mail preference service?

    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/

and also if you receive unsolicted telephone calls offering you credit register with the Telephone preference service at

    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/

you can also opt out of the Royal Mail sending you Junk mail by writing and requesting that you no longer receivew unsolicted mail, the addres is

    Unaddressed mail - Opt-Outs,
    Royal Mail, Kingsmead House,
    Oxpens Road, Oxford,
    OX1 1RX

Between them it has cut my junk considerably but it only seems to last 6 months after you register. It can also take a 6-8 weeks before it becomes active but I strongly advise anyone to take the time to do it if you want to try and combat this menace.
