Question on completion (remortgage)

First time remortgager here.
My current fixed deal will come to an end on 31 August. I’ve already arranged a remortgage with a new lender and have returned the signed mortgage deed form. However, I am not sure how completion work. Can my solicitor complete for me before 31 August or can they only complete on 31 August (or 1 Sept??). I'm hoping this could be done without delay as I don't want to pay the SVR to my existing lender which is really high.
Just a bit nervous as I’m also using this remortgage to pay back my help to buy equity loan – does that have to happen on the same day too? I guess it does as otherwise I wouldn’t have the money.
Many thanks.

You specify you want the remortgage done for the day after your ERC's are no longer applicable.0

Will be 1st September unless you wish to pay the early repayment charge.0 -
