Need a new front wheel

Thanks everyone. I'd tried ebay and the tip but there was nothing suitable locally. The bike's a boss stealth bike so basic argos type job.
This morning we bought an xt 350 shockwave women's bike from a local selling group which appears to be an even cheaper job, was pretty knackered and has a different type of brakes. We only paid £20 which was quite a result.
So now he has a frankenbike with no front brake currently and will work out whether he moves the brake over or makes do. Its work out reasonably well and I have also got the pedals and seat from it on my folding bike so we did pretty well for the moneyI also joined the Facebook group which will be great if we decide to upgrade. The help is much appreciated!

If the brakes from the donor bike don't fit try swapping the forks.0 -
Have a look for a local Freecycle Group, it's not just for cycles :-)
But for free recycling

In my opinion this is very dangerous - potentially lethal.0 -
I doubt the brakes will be compatible as the transplanted wheel won't have a disc mount to allow the disc brakes on the existing bike to be used and unless there's v-brake mounts on the fork, the other bike's brakes can't be moved over (assuming it's v-brakes)

He's only done a test run down the road with no front brake, he wont be riding it in that state. Making do was about trying to find a way to fit the two parts together. We've worked out that there's no way to keep the disc brake, but are going to see if there is any way to move the old brake over, not tried it yet. Our neighbour is very good at working on bikes so is going to help when they get a chance. Do you definitely think there's no way to transfer them? Can you buy a new mount? Can the fork be moved? Hopefully the neighbour will know? At the very least I've got cheap pedals and seatSaving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j0 -
It's hard to say without seeing pictures of both bikes - some bikes do have mountings for both v-brakes and disc brakes so it's not impossible, for example:

Those stubby bits sticking out near the top of the fork are the v-brake mounts, if you have those then perhaps if the other bike has v-brakes you could move them. I've no idea if you could move the forks as there's a lot more factors to consider there - a bike savvy neighbour will definitely have a better idea.
