how do i find out about an endowment policy we took out?

22 years ago we purchased our first home and our mortgage was with The Halifax. It was an endowment mortgage. We moved 4 years later and changed mortgage providers and to a repayment mortgage. I have no recollection what happened to the endowment policy and we don't have any papers going that far back. I know its a shot in the dark but is there anyway of tracing the old policy? Im sure it probably isn't worth much but really like to know what happened to it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

4 years old and cancelled probably resulted in anything from nothing to a very small payout. Most endowments made little or nothing in the first 5 years.

Im sure it probably isn't worth much but really like to know what happened to it.

Almost certainly worth nothing as they send out annual statements if there is a value.

Ask halifax. But dont hold your breathe as it was a long time ago. Possibly standard life would be the insurer
