Question for the Advisors - FTB Query!

I have a first time buyer who is looking for a 90% LTV mortgage they are employed stead employment for 2+ years and looking to get on the ladder, affordability is a breeze looking for a loan of approximately 2.1 x income but due to never having had a credit card/loan and even the mobile phone contract is paid for by the parents I am struggling. I can get 84.9% but don't want to go causing further problems by doing repeated scores.

The 84.9% is with Nationwide. Who in my experience are generally ok for FTB's.

Were would you look at going or who have you had most success with at 90% for FTB's?

I've drawn up a list of

Skipton
Halifax
NatWest

If I were to go 1 out of the 3 who would you pick. Halifax has the advantage of soft foot print but I think deep down NatWest are generally more lenient.

Skipton only need to find one line of credit - bank account maybe? Although the lack of history will affect the score.

Personally I really like natwest at the minute. It just feels like everything is flying through without touching the sides.

What about someone like Saffron? They do not credit score.

Cheers ACG. I am liking NatWest myself and you have confirmed what I thought about Skipton, working from home today so thought it quicker to post here rather than e-mail the team in the office :-)

The current account provider may be a decent bet.
