County Court Claim Form - how to respond.

I've had a County Court claim form for what I think is an old bank account debt but there is not information on the form other than it's Lowell Portfolio Ltd and apparently I entered into a credit agreement with Sigma Financial Group and failed to maintain payments.
I have no idea and have never entered into an agreement knowingly with Sigma Financial Group - I'm looking for advice on how to respond online to the claim.
Can anyone help? It's for £3748.
Thanks,
John.

Hi
If you don’t think that you owe the debt you can choose to defend the claim, but it’s a good idea to seek legal advice to do that.
For now I recommend replying on the ‘Acknowledgement of Service’ as it gets you an additional 14 days to respond. You should also make a written request information on this alleged debt to see what exactly they believe you owe.

If its an old bank account, chances are sigma were managing it for the original client.
Lowell have now bought this and decided to get all Legal with you.
If it is an account you recognise, you should admit liability, and make a proposal of payment to the court.
On the other hand, if its defiantly not your account, then you will need to defend on that basis, Lowell will have to prove they have traced the correct individual.
