Moving to an IVA

Dear All,
Having taken advce from this website and the National Debt Council, I started action to undertake an IVA programme. However, it's all quite worrying when you don't have the knowledge of what is happening next. My debt mainly credit cards and loans is over £60,000, and with no equity left inmy house due to secured loan, the IVA process has started, although no court date set.
Can anyone give me comfort that I'm on the right track, it's so important to me that my kids and family can stay in the same area and house!

Hi TCB,
When you start out on the IVA route, you are bound to be nervous. After all, there seems so much information to take in in such a short time.
What I suggest is that you post any questions you have regarding the process, timing, or details about your proposed IVA, no matter how technical or specific they are, and we'll deal with each question one at a time, which will help you to understand the IVA process.
I think that will help you realise whether the IVA route is the most appropriate solution for you, and why.
