Hi all,
I graduated from university this month after living in student housing for 3 years, and have moved back in with my parents as is it close to where I work. I'm applying for a personal loan so that I can buy a car and get it insured instead to getting car finance and paying monthly for insurance, which will save me some money in the long run.
When applying for loans, after inputting my address I am asked when I moved in to where I'm living, or how long I've lived where I do. My question put simply is do I say that I've lived there for 2 months (I've been here 2 months since finishing university), or the 8 years my family have owned the house? I've been back and forth from my term time residence and the house I'm at now during holidays, although I've been legally registered as living at my term time address for the past 3 years.
My worry is that living at multiple different houses may affect my credit check, as if I state my term time addresses it looks like I have no long term fixed address as I don't get the option of stating how long I've lived at my previous address.
This is my first post on moneysavingexpert, and I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this particular question, but any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you on the electoral roll at your parent's address?0

Your parents house is your 'home' address and your student address is like a second home for 'term time' so yes you can fairly put that it is your home address at your parents :-)Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less! £196,000/£177560 to go0
