I was talking to my daughter about reading a book about an elderly lady who lived in a cottage in the Welsh hills or mountains, on her own, with no power or running water and was self sufficient (I think). Do any of you old stylers know the book I'm thinking of and can you tell me the title please?

Hannah Hauxwell wrote a few books which are often found in Charity shops these days. I enjoyed the one when they took her abroad and she was amazed at a revolving door which she hadn't seen before! Lovely woman
(Lived in Cotherstone by the way, just over the border into County Durham!)
