Post graduate student loans

Hi,
My girlfriend has completed the first year of a 2 year social work degree in England. For the first year, she received a bursary which just about covered her costs and she managed to cover the rest by working in holidays etc.
However, we have now moved in together and we have been told by the university that her grant/bursary has been drastically cut due to household earnings (due to cohabitation). The amount it has been cut by means it is not something we can easily afford and so we need to find other alternative finance options. She has already done a degree and masters funded by student loan.
I read some threads on here about options, but hoping someone may be able to help with this specific scenario and what the cheapest loan possibilities may be. Given the nature of the course I am hoping there may also be some specific options available to help her complete the course.
Thanks for any help you can give

Hi Alex - not sure if you have seen this already but just in case, this is a post graduate loan program that just started this month, so it might be an option. There is a cap of £10K for the entire post graduate program.
