Phil - Don't be nervous. Try your best to achieve this if you really want it. I did when I was in your situation a year ago. I know it is very stressy times and the time taken to do simple things can feel like few ages.

Why don't you find all the proof you need (i.e. all the payslips) and then scan it and send it to your broker. Then he can send it to who ever needs this proof. Other thing is sometimes it is better to not go with the cheapest lender and go with someone who has slightly higher interest rate but they will accept your bonus proof for just the last few months. Good Luck!

If your salary has increased then I'm pretty sure the lender will take that into account. Like I said, all I sent was a employment contract for my new job stating how much I will earn each month and how much bonus I will be getting per year. I was worried like you as having a new job made me think I was not a permanent staff until the probation period but luckily the lender accepted the contract. Obviously, bonus is not guaranteed so most of the lenders only take half of the bonus into account. Only in some cases where the bonus is consistent then they might consider it fully. Maybe that's why your broker wanted to see if you have achieved your bonus all the time for the last 2 years (in your case last 1 and half year as that's when you started).
  • I am remortgaging with a new lender and have been asked for 2 years evidence of annual bonus. Regular bonus by way of overtime could be evidenced by 3 months of payslips. So yes, perfectly normal.
