I've just bought a Vita Verde small frying pan from Tescos for £10.

I am very impressed by it. It may say something about the type of frypans I've used before, but I've been able to cook in the new frypan without any oil at all, and nothing (yet) has stuck to it.

If this is what the cheaper range is like, what is the main GreenPan range like?

If there's anyone out there used to better cookware than I am, I'd like to hear your opinions.

EDIT: Odd, online reviews are mostly 5 star or 1 star, with there being more 1 star reviews. It's claimed by some that these are the worst frypans ever and everything sticks to them. I'll wait a bit and see how the pans get on over time. I was thinking of buying something specially for pancakes too.

When I first tried a greenpan frying pan I was very impressed, and I bought a couple of other items. However, it started to stick very badly after a while. I kept going with a saucepan, but I rarely used it. I remember that it used to have a sort of permanent scum line near the top from the water level where I cooked pasta in it that would not wash off. I chucked them all out eventually.

This was when they first came out, (10 years ago? I can't remember exactly) so they may have improved. However, I remember even then that there was something odd about all the reviews for them - I found forums where people were claiming that negative reviews had been removed.

Thanks. I think I'll stick (no pun intended) with the single frypan I have a the moment and see what happens over time. I would really like an extremely non-stick pan for cooking pancakes.

I bought a non stick frying pan from Morrisons for £3 months ago. Best non stick pan i've had for years. When it stops being non stick, i'll chuck it and buy another !
