Just bought my 1st property and found old owner ued EON. Can I use someone else or does it require it to be them?

Change to one you wish, it'll be cheaper, better tell Eon also you have moved in, but do not setup a direct debit and do not get into a contract with them unless it's the cheapest in your area.

Hello plasmarb and hope your move went well. As csgohan4 says, you can change supplier whenever you wish. Usually takes about two and half weeks. During this time we'll supply the property.
Also agree, to help keep the billing accurate, please let us know details of when you took over responsibility. Meter readings would be great. You can do this online through our website or by talking to one of our Home Moves specialists. We'll set up an account for you from the date you took over. This will be on our standard Energy Plan tariff. It's not the cheapest but there are no restrictions or exit fees with this tariff leaving you free to switch whenever you like.
