Morning,
I feel very pleased with myself as yesterday even though we did a day trip we didn't spend a penny! This morning I finally got round to do another survey ( haven't done one in ages) and it's a £3 paying one. Whilst being logged on I realised I also had another £3 waiting for me. I've just done a small shop and pleased that I spent £23. I wanted to stick to £20 but the fabric softener I use was half price so I bought 3.
Today I will need to buy dd new shoes but that should be it and money is allocated for this. I'm hoping tomorrow to be a nsd as we are visiting friends but have bits to bring round.
My daughter has a tutor but I found out yesterday the tutor can't do two sessions that I had allocated money for so that is a massive saving! That money will go in the pot for Xmas etc.
I really hope I can continue to being so disciplined as it really does help!
Have a lovely weekend everyone x0 -
Hi,
I've ended up spending more than I wanted this wkend between dd's shoes, bday presents and a spa day that my friend asked me if I'd like to go with her too. I know I should have said no but my husband said just do it. I've pretty much this month used all the savings in the bank but have been putting more in the pots at home and have allocated savings over the next few months. I'm hoping to stick to my now £40 food budget. Not much else to report as I haven't made any extra payments for a good few days which feels very odd.
Another wash is ready to hang before the rain starts tomorrow!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning,
I had another nsd yesterday which was good. Today I'm gong food shopping, I have £40 to spend so it's going to be tight but I have a list. I need to look at the finances again as from September money is looking awful and we literally won't be able to afford our outgoings so I need to see what I can do. It looks like it is due to rain today so I don't think I'll risk hanging the washing outside.
Jobs to do:
Sort finances
Re write lists
Hoover
Washing
Wrap present
Do at least one job off my long paper list
Pay in postal order and send item
Answer question for business
Think that's it for now.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi,
I had a bit of a rubbish day yesterday. I had a silly incident with one of the mum's from school. I went to the shops without the cash for the food! That's sort set me off in a negative mood. I just need to remind myself that people have a lot worst going on in their lives. I just hate upset and this incident has really upset me and going to make it very awkward on the playground
Nothing much to report on the money front, I feel like I haven't made a payment in ages!0 -
Sorry to hear about the school thing, I used to hate playground politics.
Hopefully it will just blow over, it's much easier when they are at secondary school and taking themselves to school.0 -

Thanks. I just hate having negativity especially over something so trivial0 -
Morning,
I've just done a money transfer for just under £200. I know ppl will say I shouldn't but it's 0% until oct 2018 and it will be a safety net for me as the next few months will be very tight. I think the reason it got so bad is because I made too many overpayments last month. Even with this money transfer we have still cleared £1400 in two months. I do feel disappointed that I've had to do it but I also know what the rest of the year is going to be like financially.
I've managed to keep my food bill down but it's the general spending the issue. Dd shoes £32, spa day I agreed too £50 incl food, coffee and cake £5, day out next week £12. I find this area hard as I'm home everyday and meet the odd friend to get me out of the house.
I will try and work out my debt free year later.0 -
Hi there
Have you thought about volunteering to get you out of the house during term time but not having to spend?
If you can't balance your budget without using the cards have you thought about going on a dmp? Have a look at the paylan website, or Stepchange (just don't go with a fee paying one as they are a rip off).
good luck with going forward
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
