Pension advice

Hey up folks, hope you can assist me with this. Am having to take ill health retirement due to injury,I am no longer able to do my job. I will get a lump sum & a monthly payment from my work pension. I have 2 boys I pay for to different mothers (never married to either). What will the agency be able to take from me? I am thinking that they will do the calculation on my monthly pension payment ie 20% of that. is my lump sum safe as I was never married to the mothers.
Thanks
