Apparantly, from Wed 24th Oct, some of the hair straighteners are going down to half price. I was told the Mark Hill one's they have at £99 will be half price, not sure which other one's though.

Can all you regular bootsers check if I have worked this out right pretty please as I want to maximise my points and minimise my spending?

I am going to go to the gloucester xmas event and I'm going to hopefully buy
    No7 360 mascara £11 (xmas pressie)
No7 eye pencil £3.37 (me pressie!)
    No7 gift £2.81 (xmas pressie)
Olay regenerist serum fragrance free £22.50 (b'day pressie)
Olay complete care night cream £8 (xmas pressie)
Olay total effect hand treatment £6.50 (xmas)
Olay regenerist daily regenerist cream wash £6.50 (xmas)

    Total spend £60.68

    Earned

    1000 xmas £50 spend
    1000 olay £20 spend (would I get 2x as over £40 spend  )
    500 2x No7 products
    342 No7 offer
    6x £5 vouchers for £10 instore spend
Free make-up brush roll with 360 mascara

I am not up to date with points offers but I think you will only get 1 x £5 voucher per transaction.

You'll get 1x Voucher per order
The mascara's are £10.50 in store
1 x 1000 olay points as offer is for £20+ spend
I don't think they have the No7 gift in store either
500 No7 points not in store
  • i tried to use my £5 voucher twice today. Once on an electric eyelash curler reduced to £5 which the SA wouldn't even scan to try. And then on a no7 gorgeous eye pallette reduced to £8. She said it doesn't work with reduced stuff or accesories. It is a pity as my DD would have loved either of these. Has anyone been able to use the voucher on reduced NO7 ?

I got the gorgeous eye pallet, it had a clearance sticker for £8 but the voucher wouldn't scan so the kind SA entered it as a £5 Boots voucher, so I was lucky to get it for £3.

    I would do this instead.

    *Transaction 1*
    Olay Serum £22.50
    Pay by cash/card and get 1000 points for £20 spend + £5 No7 Voucher

    *Transaction 2*
    No7 Mascara £10.50
    Olay complete care £8
    Olay hand cream £6.50
    Olay wash £6.50
    Pay with £5 No7 Voucher + £26.50 cash/card + ? Total points vouchers from ACM get 1000 olay points + ? Total points from ACM + No7 Voucher + No7 brushes

    *Transaction 3*
    No7 Eye pencil
Pay by £5 No7 voucher so item is FREE!

Total Points 2000 + 196 on actual spend + ?total points from ACM
Free No7 Eye Pencil and Free No7 makeup brushes. So actual spend is £28 as opposed to £32
Think I have done this right.
  • Re. buxtonrabbitgreen's question: I asked this on here a few days ago - someone said yes, someone said no, someone said yes but not at the no.7 counter. The no. 7 lady said no to me and I wondered if I could have put my reduced stuff through a normal checkout anyway...

Thanks for the replies. I knew I could rely on you all to give me a hand

So if I split the order I would still get 2000pts because I have two lots of olay over £20 and but I'd get 2x £5 vouchers instead of 1. Still seems good to me.

Shame about the No7 500pts being online only though. As for the gift I do have other products I could buy I just liked the fact it came in a pretty bag :rotfl:

Kiwi, see my post above your last one. It took me so long to work out that I got left behind!

If you could get one of the parenting vouchers for 500points on Olay then that would be worth it too. Extra £5 on your card for approx £1ish spend on ebay.
