I'm not a fan of the birkenhead shop, its always in a state of disarray!! Chester is my fave, then Bromborough then Cheshire Oaks then Liverpool but never get there really, and bottom of the heap is B'head! I wonder if we're the Wirrals only 3 Bootsers?!
I was thinking of Chester on Saturday (dh is home for the weekend and he has obviously been converted!). Never really get to Liverpool either0 -
The new warrington shop look like they have decided they are not taking part in the sales or promotions! The ACM machines *2 were switched off and there was very little sign of promotions except for a few price cuts.
The westbrook boots had tons of great cosmetics for 10p to 50p on tuesday, which i snaffled quite a few but last night they had all been repriced to £1.50+, i pointed this out to the manager who denied it and said that different staff must have priced them up wrong! But they were definitely the same items, which i think could possibly be illegal!
On a brighter note, on tuesday, i got an elizabeth arden lipstick for £7 and a moisturiser... wait for it.. for 13p.. It was marked £13 clearance, i therefore claimed my beautiful gift worth £50!:j
There were two more of the moisturisers but a more experienced assistant just looked at me and said £13, they have now moved the Elizabeth Ardens sale stuff near to their own counter but still have lipsticks and cream left.
At westbrook one of the clearance stickered items, neither the red or white stickers were scanning any lower than what they were marked at.
In warrington the bikinis (nice were scanning at 10% of original price) all very strange operating to me!!!
My first post hope it was helpful0 -
Rushed to the edge-of-town Boots to see the bargains and skidded to a halt ....
On the 'reduced' shelf there was a pile of water filter cartridges, a couple of trays of opened/ spilled cosmetics (all priced around £2 as far as I could see) and some tatty Puma gift sets marked at £7 odd. Really disappointing.
The 'new' ACM was out of action and there did not seem to be any new GWP /offers either.
Shall have to go to the main branch on Saturday!!!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I don't know if this is happening in all Boots but it was working in Newcastle and Metrocentre, all the reduced things with the green Xmas stickers on were going through as 3 for 2. It was actually the SA who told me when I was waiting to pay for two Glitter Babes rucksacks, so got three for £2. Metrocentre, VSmile Dora games were 50p and again going through 3 for 2.0

I am another Wirral Bootser but like you Chester is my fave and Birkenhead is definitely bottom of the heap! Birkenhead staff are just so miserable and they never seem to have any bargains. Off to Chester tomorrow to see what they have.0 -
