Fallen off the wagon! - Help

I haven't been on the forum for some time and have seriously fallen off the wagon so to speak!

I had been doing realy well in paying off our debt and sticking to a budget but in the last 5 months or so I have let things slide and fallen back into my pre DFW ways!

I'm not entirely sure why. I got a new job with a good bit more money and instead of paying off debt with the extra I spent it!!!!!

I took the kids on holiday (camping in France so not too extravagant but still costs!) and have generally been having fun but spending money at the same time!

I have not totally lost the plot and still pay off small amounts each month and keep debt on interest free cc's but I feel like I need some extra support and motivation to kick start my debt reduction again.

I will calculate an up to date debt figure and try so post an soa soon so you can all make constructive cost cutting sugestions (or rip it appart) as you
see fit!

I am just looking forward to your support and guidance once again!

  • Hi, Don't worry looking at your signature look how far you've come 10k paid off in a year is fantastic.

I think the best thing to do would be to do a revised SOA incorporating your new salary, that way you can keep track of things.

These things happen we all do it at some point, it is very hard to be so strict for such a long period of time, don't beat yourself up about it.
