Leasehold Extension Costs

Have filled in the online calculator and it suggests that it would cost 4-6k to extend our lease. Have found this on the leaseholder advisory service. Below they quote how much it may be:

In considering the likely total cost you should also bear in mind the leaseholder's liability for the landlord's costs. The eventual cost of the new lease will be the premium plus both your own and the landlord's "reasonable" professional costs. These costs could be significant so be sure to get estimates from the professionals involved (likely to be at least solicitors and surveyors) before you decide to proceed.

Does anyone know how much the legal fees are - has anyone paid experience of doing this.

Just want a ball park figure to go on before making a decision on whether to proceed...
