NHS professionals ? 1 time sheet better or all of them ?

I work with one of the NHS trusts in the south and am also a flexible worker with NHS professionals. Many people say various different things and there is no concrete evidence so this gets confusing.

After working a couple of shifts with NHS professionals, is it best to release 1 time sheet per week or all the time sheets at once ?.....people say if we release 1 time sheet a week, we get paid slightly more & less tax deduction (which i have noticed as well) as suppose to releasing 4-5 time sheets all at once. . is this confirmed ?....many thanks...

PS : with NHS professionals i get paid weekly.

Maybe people who work in the NHS will understand what you are talking about but I for one don't have a clue. Can you explain the issue more clearly?

i didn't follow it either, although I am assuming NHS Professionals is some kind of agency

However, i cannot see how the submission of timesheets impacts how much tax and other deductions you pay. Over a year you have a tax free allowance and then there are levels of tax after that..

With the NHS Professionals timesheets -
if they make one payment however many timesheets you submit at one time then there could be a slight saving on NI if you do little work in one week and more in another.
The reason is that whilst tax is cumulative NI contributions are based on the payment period and require a threshold amount before NI is due. (The threshold is proportionately higher for a monthly payment compared with a weekly.)

Is the agency aware that you have a permanent job? What tax code do they apply?
