One day I parked on a council car park and everything was okay.
Next day I parked in same car park (at back of pub) and 1 minute later (having been warned in chip shop) I got back to my car to find I had been clamped. I had an eight month old baby with me and no pram.
I asked how long before the car gets towed away they replied 'how long will it take you to get to the bank and back'. I called a friend and sat on the car until a friend went to the cash machine and got some money for me (this was in Nov!).
I called the police who didn't give a toss! It cost me £125 to release the car, but it was almost worth it to see the looks on the clampers faces when as I waited for my friend I told almost TEN cars to turn around and go away before they got clamped. The pub concerned along with the clamping company featured on a regional news programme the weekend after!
The clamping co was MPC in Birmingham.......From what I have heard since I got off lightly with a £125 fine to release the car.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
