Naive not to negotiate after survey?

Options
I've had survey back on a house I'm buying and people keep asking if I'm going to try to get money off for this or that. Before I put in my offer I was told about all the identified problems, or they were obvious when I viewed. I don't want to try to negotiate on things that aren't 'new' and there's nothing flagged as urgent. Am I being naive?

No you offered knowing there were issues and have had them confirmed. The purpose of a survey is information, it should not be a club to hit the seller with. Unless there were items deliberately hidden, of course

Was your offer accepted before Brexit?

For hoploz to say outright no negotiation without knowing anything about the findings is lunacy. How can anyone be expected to know the ins and outs from a cursory walk round? Are you a surveyor?

    Delusional. ..

The offer was accepted a week before the vote. Another buyer put in a higher offer so I don't feel that I'm overpaying (too much...). The seller hasn't seemed entirely committed to the sale at times and I've been a bit anxious about him pulling out. As I said, I don't really want to negotiate but worry that I'm being daft when everybody keeps saying "oo you might get something off for that..." and the like. FTB if it isn't obvious.:)

Is the valuation on the survey more or less the same as your offer?

So you want money off even though the survey hasn't shown any issues?

And you don't even know why you want money off? Ie not concerned about brexit.

    Am I missing something?

Personally I'd be negotiating a new price as the market has dropped but you don't sound too concerned by that?

What's made you think that I want money off, that the survey hasn't shown issues and that I'm not too concerned about prices dropping due to Brexit?

OP: No, nothing new means you should be happy with what you offered.
