Hi, ok after months and months of having my head in the sand and thinking my debts will just dissapear over night or i might win the lottery i have realised that these 2 things will not happen.
so being more realistic iv signed up with cccs and im in about 7000+ in debt with diffrent creditors. i was wondering what will i expect from these creditors or if they will be awkward with me.
Barcaycard 2200
citi financial 2300
m&s 2000
barclays overdraft 800
i am just scared for threatening letters or phone calls.
if i just had a bit of a hand of what to expect the blow might not be as hard
thanks in advance X

Hi
Well done for contacting CCCS.
I take it you are doing a DMP?
Dont have any of those Creditors so I dont know.. They will hassle you for payment by phone/letter. Just give them your CCCS Ref number, tell them your on a DMP and cannot afford to pay them more than CCCS will already be paying them for you. They will probably give in after a few months.. and calls/letters will stop.
Just be strong, and dont pay them any more than the DMP no matter how much thay pester you.
Have you taken a look at the DMP Support thread? Lots of info on that!

If your not doing a DMP then ignore me hehe

Yeah sorry i forgot to add that. but yeah im on the dmp. i think all the creditors should be fine apart from citi financial. i think there going to be the worst people. cos on the back of my cc statements it had the cccs web adress and stuff offering to help people.
but if all goes to plan hopefully in 3 years i will be debt free :j
and then plan to go to uni with no money worries x0 -
At the end of the day, theres not a lot they can do really other than try to make your life hell.. dont let them do that though, not worth it

3 Years.. I wish mine was only 3 years lol.0 -
Hi littlelou, have been on a DMP with CCCS for several years now and I can honestly say they have always been helpful and supportive. Fortunately, all my creditors accepted the DMP and CCCS have always been helpful if I've had any queries.0

Hi LL, I'm in pretty much the same position as you, only I'm 2 months into my DMP with CCCs. The only one to have bothered me really was Lloyds TSB, but even they have stopped interest,as well as phoning me now that the DMP payments are going through. I did look at the DMP support thread, but it became so scary, that I decided only to look at it again, if something in my worst nightmare ever happened. I was worried enough at the outset, telling everyone I couldn't afford to pay them, that I'm not going to worry about anything else until it actually happens. maybe I am burying my head in the sand, but as far as I'm concerned, I've had my LBM, and now I can only try to put things right. I'm trying not to worry about might happen, it's not easy though.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
