Seems like the debt bubble is getting bigger.

Perhaps it's not getting bigger but people are actually facing up to their problems which can only be a good thing. :)
  • Exactly,

And don't forget that awareness of these services and of debt issues will also have increased.

I'm not saying that debts aren't getting worse but I also think media coverage will be affecting these figures also.

Perhaps Martin could put out some posters in the CAB's with this website details on in order for those who are struggling to access this fantastic resource.

I do think this is a cracking idea Triker! :T

Perhaps even the CCCS could include a leaflet or something when they send out their information packs!

Are you gonna PM the big man? :D

Perhaps it's time for more education.

Totally agree with you Al! Problem being is that this site can't really do that! I know their is the MSE charity but it needs to be a government thing. And do they want us to financially savvy? :undecided

    Why don't you start a petition? :D

I didn't say this site ;) A little bit more on people bolting the stable door, even second time around, might be an idea though.

Great in theory, but how?

Wow. I just went to entitledto.co.uk, and I don't quite qualify - but if the figures above are right, I'm not far from it. *Very* interesting, I'm going to keep my eye on this. Thanks again, madmoney.

    Well I emailed Martin who said it's the CAB's I need to ask, so I did and got this response;

    Hello Triker

    Thank you for your email.

You would need to contact the bureaus individually and ask if they would
mind if you displayed posters/leaflets. All bureau contact details can
    be found at www.adviceguide.org.uk

Alternatively you could just send them out and the bureau would decide
whether or not they want to display the posters/leaflets.

    Kind Regards

so I've passed it all back to Martin.

This may be the start of a cunning plan......:D

with all due respect pastures, it is the same for those of us with partners and children, tax credits have messed up my claim on several occassions, despite my informing them at every change of circumstance, both myself and my partner work, and are unable to claim childcare costs as it would vary from week to week so rather than having to pay tax credits back we look after ds between us.
I wish I didnt have to claim tax credits and keep informing them of my changes in circumstance but the extra money is a necessity in our lives.

Very true I remember well like two months ago so my memory is pretty good ;) we had 15.5k a year to live and feed three children on so if I was single and entitled I would be grateful because its bloomin hard feeding and clothing 5 on those wages!

And I know children are a choice but life direction changed and my new husbands wage is a lot lower - but I love him so its worth it lol!
