Which moth strips actually work?

Moths are suddenly appearing in my house, even though I tend to keep the windows closed (certainly at night).

I spoke to a man from rentokil and apparently what they do is spray the whole house HARD with insecticide spray and then make sure that they come back again (2?) weeks later to get the second life cycle. Apparently the best thing is to spray just before you leave the house for a couple of days and then ventilate it when you come back.

Meanwhile can anyone recommend the most effective moth strips that actually work! I tried some Diamond one but they caught nothing, despite being pretty expensive... Maybe they were too old or something.

PS I seem to have clothes moths (big mid-brown, sluggish - Tineola Bisselliella? ), some smaller blacker faster-moving version of the same thing, and one or two much smaller moths which I think are rice moths which I dont trust not to eat my clothes either.
