Do Kindle ebooks ever get reduced?

I've a few Kindle ebooks I have read the sample of, but they are all either more expensive than the real book or they are too expensive to begin with. (£20+ each) None are recently released, newish or what I'd describe as well known.

None are the type of book you'd find in the top 20 (or even the top 220). So I wasn't sure weather or not to wait for them to be reduced or if that is it and the price will never go down.

Has anyone got any long term experience of Kindle books? Is it worth waiting or do I just go and buy the real thing and ignore the ebook thing.

That's really odd- I went to look at a few ebooks and some had gone down in price, one from £18.99 to £1.98. I didn't get an email or anything to let me know this. I've loads more ebooks in my wish list but am not anticipating being told they've gone down in price- is there any settings I could change to get the emails? I'm already signed up to three separate weekly emails from Amazon and to my memory have not cancelled any emails they've sent.
    What am I doing wrong?

Try camelcamelcamel which tracks Amazon prices and you can set to give you price drop alerts. Can't give full link because I'm a new user, but add a uk at the start and a com at the end and that should do the trick for you!
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Camelcamel are not allowed to track Kindle ebook prices (first place I tried) they state on their website if you try that Amazon do not allow them to do this. :(

BookBub.com is an excellent site for EBooks. Well worth a look and has a lot of free books too and many at 99p. The site directs you to other sites were the Ebook is greatly reduced such as amazon. Happy reading! :)

As far as I know Amazon wish list doesn't notify you of decreases via email etc. You'd have to view the wish list manually, where any drops will be highlighted.

That has been my experience up to now too, was just a bit baffled someone else here had a different experience than this.

I use http://uk.ereaderiq.com/ It's a brilliant site where you can track titles/authors & you'll be notified by email as soon as there's a relevant price drop.
