    Aaaaand relax!

We've just got in from the family BBQ and put ds to bed. We had a lovely afternoon there. My pelvis is really burning up now, though, from too much standing (though I didn't think I was on my feet for that long!!).

Seeing the wine and beer has really made me fancy something, so I've made my own little mocktail with orange juice, sparkling water and lemon in a cocktail glass!

I've downloaded the 'Task 360' app on my phone today. It has tasks in the local area to complete that you get paid for, such as taking pictures of road signs! By the looks of it you get £3.00 each on average. But, if someone else wants to do the task, you've lost it. There are 3 local to me on there today. I'm going to check whether they're still there in the morning, and if so I'll do them tomorrow to See what this is all about, the 3 of them will earn me £9.50.

I've had no surveys on onepoll today. I logged back into swagbucks for the first time in ages, but I only seem to get so far and then no further.

I looked into my mortgage options today as well. I have very little knowledge and understanding of mortgages, but I've worked out today that I can get a pretty good deal by switching mortgage but staying with the same lender. There are fee free ones, which sound good, but the only issue is that I'm in a fixed mortgage at the moment until December 2017. The amount I'd save by switching now would be around £200 more than the fee I'd have to pay to end early. Basically, I'm not sure it's worth it at the moment because I'd have to find the £1,200 to start and I don't want to touch the money that's in the premium bonds. Fingers crossed there will be equally good deals in a year or so, or that the decrease over time in the fees would make it worthwhile. Switching the mortgage today would've saved around £110 per month.

The money for my son's banners came from spare cash that was just around the house so we haven't touched the accounts today. Im calling that a nsd :)

    Toddler party tomorrow.

    It'll be fun!!! :o

Right, I'm going to check YNAB andthen chill before bed!

    • [STRIKE]Download Roamler and Clic and Walk,[/STRIKE]

    • [STRIKE]Complete any tasks,[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Tidy up ready for toddler party,[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Survive toddler party.[/STRIKE] just!

Not much on there today, but it will be a busy day!

    Have a good one!

No problem about the Task 360. I did 3 tasks this morning, so just waiting to see whether I did them correctly and whether they will pay out.

Empty house once again! And a very tired son!! Will do a full update later.

I'm too old for toddler parties......fact!

It's ten past 7 and I'm in bed! Yes, you read that right. I'm already in bed! Toddler fast asleep, hubby gone out on his bike, so I've come up to bed to 'read' for a while, which means I'll be asleep by 8!!! :rotfl:

My son had a lovely afternoon. Lots of food was eaten and even more cake! I love hearing my son laugh, and he has done a whole lot of laughing today :j

I've started browsing around the apps such as Task 360 this evening. I'm Going to have to remember to check them every day, but I'm hoping I will make a few extra pennies by doing this.

I completed my 3 tasks this morning, which (if I did it correctly) should bring in £9.50. It should hopefully be confirmed tomorrow or Tuesday so that will be the start of my August make £10 a day challenge.

I'll have to update my morning list in a moment. There was 1 purchase today. We had completely run out of soft drinks (always handy before a party). We've always got quite a store of them as we don't drink them often, but we were even down to my last bottle of sparkling water. I popped over to the shop to pick up a selection and a tub of ice cream to go with the jelly (I'm so organised - at least that was before anyone arrived!!). The total was £5 something, my receipt is downstairs so I'll pop £6 on YNAB now so that it isn't forgotten and left off, and then I'll change it in the morning.

Just had a read of your diary and impressed you seem so organised with 5 months to go of your pregnancy. Your comments about your OH dipping into the beers before your holiday sounds reminiscent of my OH. Years ago (when we were younger) money was so tight I had to budget food and drink to the penny which my OH was not always on board with and would dip into snacks/beers etc at the beginning of week so nothing left by the end. In the end I said when it is gone, it is gone and will not be replenished until the next weekly shop day. I still do that now actually even though we do not have to budget so tightly.

It is annoying I know when you work so hard to get the budget right and DH is just carrying on as usual. Nagging makes you feel like you have another child too. I hated it. Hope party went well. That is a lovely age gap 3 years. I had 17 months between my two girls (now aged 30 and almost 29!!). The first few years were a blur.

Thank you. It's reassuring to know that it's not just my oh, and that it's quite common! To be fair to him, he's fantastic in many, many ways. He can just make me a bit  at times!

Well an early night seemed like such a good idea last night. I was asleep before 8:30! The only problem with that is that my body decided then I'd had enough sleep by 2am! I feel shattered today now! Ds is at nursery and Dh has made me promise that I won't do housework today!

    My 1st August to-do list
    • [STRIKE]Check YNAB[/STRIKE],
    • [STRIKE]Check Tesco credit card[/STRIKE],
    • [STRIKE]check bank accounts to see what bills have gone out and whether child benefit has come in[/STRIKE],
    • [STRIKE]Check emails[/STRIKE],
    • Read,
    • [STRIKE]Plan tonight's dinner[/STRIKE].

I'm leaving it there for now, though will probably add to it as the day goes on!

Just how many PPI calls can one person receive in a day?? I started off being all polite and saying "No thank you,", I'm now at the just hang up when I hear the words 'payment protection' mentioned. The block number button has been very busy today!!

This morning I went back to bed and slept. I then felt rubbish like you do when you sleep during the day. After a late lunch I remembered that I didn't have a big balloon for my son's birthday tomorrow. I always buy him a numbered one to go with his gifts. I usually buy him a character one as well and then nearly collapse when they tell me the price (for just 2 balloons!!). Well I've cut it down to just the 1 this year, so the balloon, the weight and a card I needed came to £8.08. I intended to take the cash from the spare change pot in the living room, but Dh had used some at the weekend and hadn't returned the change, it's still sitting in his wallet!

I took money out of the bank for the next few days so used a little of that and will repay it once Dh gets home. I've got £60 which I aim to stretch to cover lunch out tomorrow, probably an ice cream and a haircut for me and ds middle of the week. I may be cutting that one a little fine, but I'd rather that way than take a lot more out and then spend it because it's in my purse.

I think we're all set for ds's birthday (just need to write on his card). He's so excited bless him. It's the first time that he's really understood that his birthday is coming up. I can definitely see things getting more expensive over the next few years!

    Total spends today: £8.08
Pages of book read: 0 (again!!)
    Money Earnt: £2.30

Edited as I've just completed a survey and have earnt £1.30. Not quite the £5 a day but it is a start!

Edited again as I've completed another survey for £1. I just have to see if it has been approved. Total for the day £2.30. Not bad for an easy, quiet day.
