How to stop pre wool rug "casting everywhere?

My daughter recently bought a lovely cream pure wool rug from Argos. It looked lovely but after a few hours she noticed bits of the fibres over her slippers, sofa floor etc.
She couldn't let her baby lie on it as she was getting the fibres stuck to her hands and putting them in her mouth.
I thought a good hoovering would sort it out but she has had to stop using it even though it cost her 80 quid, any suggestion?

How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?

All you can do is keep hoovering it. Pure wool carpets do the same and for a long time but eventually they do stop shedding as the bits move up the pile. Perhaps put it beside a bed until it settles and then move back into (presumably) the lounge.
Not sure that a cream rug and a small baby go together very well, to be honest. Good luck.0 -
