I probably need a financial advisor but this is scenario so views welcome. I only have 6 years to retirement and am paying into works pension for what it's worth. With so little time left would me getting an abc for 6 years actually amount to anything or would I be better off overpaying my mortgage? I think I am paying about 5% on this but it's not huge .
Sorry should have read avc

How much would paying off your mortgage early improve your retirement compared to making increased retirement provision?
What about the employer contribution?I think I am paying about 5% on this but it's not huge .
What is level of income projected compared to the income you are on and the income you need?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes ur right with an AVc my employer would also have to contribute. My protected pension is not huge - about 11 a year plus the state pension two years later
I thought that if I overpaid each month it may be finished early as I would like to retire 2 years before I am due but maybe that is very wishful thinking . Lots of people manage on less than that I know but I need to get more info before I do either0
