Oh dearie me Agrinnall, I take your sarcasm to mean that you disapprove of my defence of my brother's mental acuity? Is it quite alright for Alice Walker to imply my brother is an idiot? What if I implied that your nearest and dearest were educationally subnormal, would you just reply with a smiley face? (Maybe a drooling smiley face?)
I can tell you must not be a solicitor.
Man: A Baton Rouge police officer has just called me a n****r, can I sue them?
Agrinnall: No, you're not allowed. Just shut up and take it.
Bored already so I'm leaving this thread and probably won't be back - the Roccobunny post is a hell of a lot more stimulating. I'm heading over now to read them all properly, I had to whizz through them last time. There's more acid in there than in the entire cast of "Alien" and all its sequels. Agrinnall, what say you, me and Alice Walker head over to the Roccobunny post and continue this sorry tale in the middle of that thread, thereby confusing the hell out of many of the good upstanding citizens of this forum?
Come on you guys, you know you want to!!!0 -

I know you're defending your bro and I'm sure he's a smart chap, but you must know that you are paid for your holidays, right? Both annual leave and public holidays. Employees have that right! So you don't need to deduct holidays from your hours worked.
The number of days you get paid for is literally every week day of the year, so 52*5 = 260. The only issue (and one that you don't have a definitive answer for, I might add) is whether you are paid for your break times. Almost everyone isn't. So we should assume you are paid for 7 hours a day. That's 1820 per annum. I get exactly the same answer as Takman: £7.94 per hour.
However if your company's policy is that you are paid for breaks, then yes, you're under minimum wage.
BTW, my payslips have my hourly rate printed on it, but I presume yours doesn't as that would avoid this whole mess :rotfl:0 -

This post clearly indicates both why you are being paid only just over minimum wage and why you thought you weren't.0
