Needing Advice (Am I In The Ryte Place Tho?)

I recently have been gettin fone calls from a debt recovery place called Moorcroft.
I have been hearing stories about them, in a recent fone call i made a deal with them to pay them £20 a month to clear my debt.
I made the first payment to them on the fone the day we made the deal and yet they are still calling me. I recently paid off a debt to them of £100.00 (in connection with o2).
My debt that I am paying at the mo is also in connection with o2 and is over £1000.
All I need to know is why am I gettin these calls and why are they now reffering themselves as MDR???, before they used to call themselve Moorcroft???
Should I actually be payin them my money? which I have to say is rather much for someone who is unemployed, but I forget, they dont give two flyin monkeys about people who r unemployed as long as they get their money......
Someone please help me!!!

Well known here.
We do need to check something first.
When did you run up the debts, as Moorcroft buy debts that are or will shortly be statute barred and pursue the edbtors in am atempt to get them to pay up even though they are no longer liable?
Alos have you talked to someone from one of the debt charities http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan#help as they can help you.
There is a letter here that you can send telling them only to contact you by telephone and there are rules for debt collectors that Moorcroft have difficulty complying with unlss you yell at them.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
