Proof of mortgage deposit

Hello,

I am going through the process of getting my mortgage and need to send the brokers proof of my deposit.

I have a 50k deposit, but part of that is made up of my Help to Buy ISA bonus which is not shown on my Help to Buy ISA statement.

Will the brokers know to add on the bonus which will then make my deposit add up to 50k?

If they don't, they'll only think I have around £49400. I know it's only a small amount, I just want to know the deal.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

P.S. On a side note, the underwriter has asked to see my April pay slip (he has my May and June one already). Why could this be and is it anything to worry about?

This will be fine even if they don't know how to do this you can evidence it from your next salary instalment or some such. Most lenders will be happy to accept a tolerance when it comes to deposit.

Thanks, but will this result in a bit of back and forth if they do want to see the full 50k?

Also, were you able to help with this:

They will want 3 months wages slips, not two. Standard practice.

But they haven't asked to see my partner's? Hmm...

Also, how long does the underwriting process take?

That depends on the Lender, and how busy they are.
