I've applied for a 10 year fixed mortgage with a high street building society which is in process and not finalised. The rate for this mortgage on their website was reduced yesterday by 0.2%.
Is the lender obliged to give me the lower rate as the application is still in process?

Theyre not obliged to give you the lower rate. How would you feel if rates increased and they were obliged to bump up the rate you applied for to the new one?
