Ok, this could be totally illegal but I thought I'd ask as I can't seem to find anything about it on-line.

Basically my credit history could be better, OH is pretty decent. Want to move to a bigger place, OH has a mortgage already but due to my credit past, it wouldn't be doable within the next 2 years. After speaking to my OH, he asked whether he could class my income (I pay into his account every month bill money etc), could he use that as his own/other income to potentially get a bigger mortgage? So for example, his income would be boosted from 22k of his own to 42k with adding mine into his account? If that makes any sense?

Thanks

I did think this would be the case, and I did tell the OH but as always wanted to double check. Thanks :)

Lenders want to see your wages from your wage slip going into your account. If they see someone else's income coming in they will ask why.

There is a way to use that income it would be committing mortgage fraud but I have seen it done in the past as an underwriter and there are ways lenders can find out. So don't do it!

No, I did think it was fraud, but glad I have it confirmed. Thanks
