Seriously .......this cannot be legal - can it?

I've received an unsolicited email - and although I send unsolicited emails straight to spam this one caught my eye before I deleted it - so thought I'd share with you :-

Would you think it worth passing over to police cyber unit?
  • Hey,

If you feel its a dodgy email and it certainly looks like it involves some kind of stolen goods or money laundering etc..... Then go ahead and report it to police. Technology is so advanced theses days with VPN's (Virtual Private Networks) that it would be a lot of time and effort for the police to track with no guarantee to get a result. They will probably throw it in the bin tbh, also some companies are off the shelf entities/offshore or in liquidation and being used illegally for last attempts to make money or even to use the company name as a disguise thats not even theirs. These are experiences I have been through with entities trying to take money from my partner in the past and any email received like this I'd advise you to ignore them and no harm sending to the police :)

The very idea that they will pay a person monthly would involve that person sending name address and their own bank details .
Presumably the email comes from one of their alliases which is why you cannot just hit reply to respond to them.
Very fishy and the grammar is stilted . The address of the reply link is badly misspelled too.

Sounds like a mixture of identity fraud and money laundering.
