Barclays loan and Online Banking – Communication Methods

Morning all,

I have a Barclays current account and a loan with them. I have online banking and have selected that I receive all statements and communication via the online banking service, but does this also include anything to do with the loan? Yearly statement etc? Or do they have to send it out via post too.

The reason I ask is because I am living in a shared house and I am due to be away for the month when my loan would be a year old and I don’t like the idea of any banking documentation etc arriving whilst I am not there, silly as that sounds but I am a worrier.

I was wondering whether anyone else has a Barclay loan and online banking:

- Do Barclays issue a yearly loan statement?
- Will they send it just via online banking communication or do they have to send a hard copy too?

I have tried looking online and on online banking but I cannot find any options about how loan information is received. I know I can contact them via online banking and will do this if no one else can help.

I don't know about Barclays loan, you might need to ask them, but when I've lived in shared accommodation or flats where there is only one letter box for the block I sign up for Royal Mail's KEEPSAFE service which means none of my post is delivered between a specified set of dates. Then I receive one bulk drop of mail the day after I get home.
