Savings credit

Options
After an email from MSE I briefly looked into Pension SAVINGS Credit - does it really mean that although I get the state pension and have a £6K annual employment pension and earn £2K/annum from a small job that I can claim some more ? I live with my wife who owns the house and she also has some income and savings but I have no firm knowledge of how much she gets (and she won't tell me).

This would make claiming any form of means tested benefit a problem.....

Is there not a process for a PC claim (which is always a household claim, rather than a personal one) for details of income for the means test separately so the other party doesnt see what the other gets?

I have a feeling that there was in the past for some benefits?

I do find it an odd situation though.

Thanks chaps, good of you to respond, I guess I'll just give them a call and go through the problem with them. I don't want to 'abuse' the system at all but if there's money to be had !!!
