                    Hello all,
I have worked for my company for over 2 years and am now facing a performance management meeting. I'm unsure whether or not this is valid in accordance with the companies performance management policy.
The key information:
We are set 2 targets, lets refer to them as A & B.
The performance management policy only makes reference to target B being met and doesn't reference target A at all.
In May I didn't hit the required level for target B and was told unless I met both targets in June I would be asked to attend a meeting of which the outcome could be a written warning.
In June I didn't hit target A but did exceed target B by a considerable amount, I have now been invited to a meeting as described above.
My questions:
Is it right that I should face potential disciplinary action for my performance when I met all criteria set out in the performance management policy?
Thanks in advance for any assistance and my apologies if any of the above is unclear - please let me know if any further information is required.

I cannot see how a performance management policy, something that is generic to everyone, can possibly be considered to state targets for an individual.
You were set two targets. You failed to meet one of them. Therefore your performance is below the expected standard. This was made clear in advance, so you knew the target and the outcome if you didn't meet it. How do you think that it is possible to consider any of this as not right?0
