car breakdown cover

Hi!

Always add breakdown cover to my car insurance when I buy it through the broker but as my premium seems to have doubled since last year (no accidents or points etc - aaaargh!) I will be taking my insurance out via a comparison site instead which doesn't include breakdown cover.
Can anyone recommend or have any experience of breakdown cover that covers NI and the ROI? Had a look at some and you have to go through the policy terms and conditions in detail to find out that they don't cover the ROI without an additional european cover.

My comparison search the other week came up with AA as the cheapest comparable policy with optional breakdown cover at half price (£19.50). Underwriter is Allianz.

Personally had a few different ones over the years but just recently changed mine & the wife back to AA as no one could touch their current offers

Thanks for that - that looks great for NI and ROI coverage and includes homestart too which I would need also.
