re- installing Windows 7 on vista

Hi
I have Vista on my PC and now finally i have had a reinstallation disk for Windows 7 professional but how do i install it over the vista. I have several user accounts on my PC do i need to sign into one of these to install the disk

I have saved what i need off the PC and want to do complete re-install and don't need the user accounts so is that the way forward??0 -

If you have everything backed up and don't need the user accounts, then, yes -- I'd do a clean installation. That will wipe everything from the PC (including all your installed programs), and leave you with a fresh installation of Windows.
I believe the way to do that would be to boot from the Win7 installation DVD and follow the prompts.
You'll probably have to hit a key when the PC boots to access either a boot menu or the BIOS settings, so you can set the PC to boot from the DVD drive.0
