I'm trying to make stuff that uses complementary stuff, so todays supremely unhealthy mix is
Limoncello- 1 litre vodka, 700mls boiling water, 750g caster sugar and the zest 4 lemons, allow to infuse for a week
Lemon curd- Juice 4 lemons, 2 eggs, 2 yolks, 200g sugar, 100g butter. Melt butter add sugar and juice, beat in eggs, stir over bain marie until thick, jar
Coconut macaroons- 2 egg whites, 150g sugar, 200g coconut. whisk egg whites fold in co!!!! and sugar, bake for 8 mins
I know I can freeze egg white and stuff but invariably forget they are in the freezer, and I hate having left over bits and pieces in the fridge.
What are you making and what do you cook together?
