Does anyone else read the thread for a comp and think I have no idea what that is?
Open the page look at the item and still have no idea what it is or what it does

It happens to me quite regular with techy stuff where the name of the item is just letters and numbers. :eek:

I just opened a competition for a shell thing, and I have no idea what it does. :rotfl:

I'm glad it's not just me. And the ones that (I think) are computer parts totally mistify me. Some of the beauty gadgets are a mystery to me too. Not to mention the (ahem) adult prizes.

On a plus note my geography is improving - I regularly have to google a place when there's a comp for a short break or tickets to see if it's in travelling distance.

Yeah I Google a lot of unknown towns too and I have never read so many Ts and Cs since we got the puppy.

If I think a prize is obscure I usually add it to the thread - yes I knw it's bumping but it may save others time . On the other hand having worked for a well known directory company for a long time ( until they got very small) my UK geography is pretty good

Every so often I have to look at what the prize is because it's not obvious.

I'm grateful to the posters who add equine, and fishing in brackets on their posts.

It's a bit embarrassing when there are 5 or 6 fishing tackle comps in a row where I have no clue what the prizes are or do, and I enter them because my uncle is a keen fisherman, only to realise the last of them is actually some weird sex toy that I'm sure my uncle would not really appreciate.
