4ECO (Immersun) Insolvency

Was considering adding the monitoring to our current ImmersunII only to be greeted with this on visiting their website.

"It is with great sadness that we must announce the impending closure of 4eco Limited and consequent immediate cease of trading.

The solar industry has had many highs and lows over the years, with the most recent claiming many businesses.

There is still a chance that this may not be the end of the road for the immerSUN and other products that were in various stages of development. We are still working towards securing the future and also continued support for existing immerSUN owners.

We would like to thank all of you for your loyalty and support over the last few years and remain positive that a solution can be resolved in the interests of all."

Found it a great product but I guess their price point was too high compared to competitors and the market has spoken.

This is indeed a shame. The diverters will run until they break (hopefully long after any warrantee would have expired).

I have the monitoring which is great (Eric Mears may comment on the granularity of the data but it does what I need/want). That system is still working but who knows for how long. It would be goo if they could provide the website code to users so we can run it on our own PCs and at least get monitoring while in the home...

And who knows, some parts of the business may get hived off into a new company...

Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

Indeed yes, all you can get from their 'history' file is a set of hourly readings and that's really not enough to be able to see exactly what was happening. Similarly, the instantaneous view of what is happening 'now' is fine - but a graphical view of what has happened for the last hour or two would be even better

Indeed. Nice to have of course
  • Looks like 4eco found a buyer in SISEM Ltd.

I have an Immersun divertor and monitoring device. All has worked up until this month when the monitoring server was shut down.

Anyone know of a method to read the data from the device directly?
