CCA Request & Making Full and Final Settlement Offers

I'm helping a friend reach agreements with credit cards she's in debt to.

I have recently sent a CCA request to the PRA as they have bought the debt and they may not have a copy.

There's a few other debts. A couple others have been purchased by Link or managed by debt collectors. While others are still directly with the card companies.

Would you recommend firstly asking for the CCA documents before making any offers to get better offers or go straight in with offers.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • It's always worth sending off a CCA request to find out if they have the required documentation.

If they haven't, then you need take it no further. You just don't make any offer or payment.

    Thanks, I'll do that.

Looks like this is going to be a length process but hopefully with my help she'll be better off.
